Tab Weld Nut Parts

Pilot

Extended portion of the threaded hole. It is meant to minimize the amount of welding residue that could clog the threads.

Projections

Small portions that protrude out of the flat surface of the tab of the weld nut. They are what get welded to the base material. Some styles come without projections.

Tab Configurations

Double Tab or Center Hole - The threaded hole is in the center of the nut with two tabs on each side.

Single Tab or Offset - The threaded hole is close to one edge with a tab to the side of it. This is best for applications where you want the threads close to the edge of the base material.
